Do you buy drinks for women you don't know?

If I'm in conversation with someone, I'll ask if they would care for a drink. but also I only go out to the bars on half buck or dollar drink night, as a student it's the only way i can afford my courteousness.

On a receiving end of free drinks from random guys sitting a distance away from me, it is creepy well at least around here. If you want to buy a girl a drink talk to her chat it up the offer.

I can understand a womans point of view, especially these days in light of the date-rape thing. And I have never sent a drink over to a stranger, just offered one at the bar, where they can see what they're getting.

If they "politely" decline then fine, no big deal, I only offered.
