I just freaked myself out reading a forum thread on a different website about experiences people have had with ghosts.

At first I was all ''pfffffft whatever", but then I remembered that there was a weird sound that I used to hear at craft store I used to work at. It sounded like a cart with squeaky wheels was moving around, but there was never anyone there. Always the same squeaking.

THEN it occured to me that there's a weird sound that I hear once in awhile in the bathroom of my house. Like someone is on the roof fixing something, some kind of light hammering sound I think.

I'm totally going to bed with the lights on now. Yeesh.

A hammering sound in/near the bathroom could very likely be a plumbing-related issue.

I agree. My pipes make weird knocking sounds all the time.

Also, about 6 years ago I was home alone one night when I heard several of the cabinets in the kitchen open and slam shut. Scared the hell out of me.

One of my ex-gfs claimed that her place was haunted. Several times when I was there, I thought I saw someone walk from the stairs to the kitchen, but no one was there. I wrote it off to late night somewhere I wasn't used to being.

On this very night, ten years ago, along this very stretch of road in a dense fog just like this, I saw the worst accident I ever seen. There was this sound, like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building... And when they pulled the driver's body from the twisted, burning wreck. It looked like this...
