I've been loving Gail Simone's run on Wonder Woman. Aaron Lopresti is doing a bang-up job on the pencilling, too.

Anxiously awaiting issue 2 of Sky Doll - LCS was sold out last week within an hour (!) of stocking it so I'm hoping they were able to get a restock today. Such a beautiful book.

Others I'm currently keeping up with: Powers, JSA, Trinity, Anna Mercury, Fables

DVDs: Heima, Jin-Roh, Appleseed: Ex Machina, Saving Private Ryan, Dawn of the Dead (the remake) - the DVD extras on DotD are dope.

Comics: My weakness in comics is showing. If I had to pick, I'd say the Maximium Carnage series from Spiderman, the Death of Superman series from the Superman comics, and Watchmen in that order. Honorable mention goes to the Age of Apocalypse X-men series. But to be fair, it's been a good 12 years since I've read the Maximum Carnage cycle, so it may not be as cool as I remember it. I should also mention this isn't a measure of quality, just my favorites.

Books: I haven't been reading much. If I had to pick from books I've recently worked on, I'd say The Hunchback of Notre Dame, followed by Goethe's Faust.

DVD: well, this is basically recompilation of my favorite list, but I've been watching a lot of westerns recently, so I'd recommend Unforgiven; HIgh Noon; The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance in that order (don't listen to people who call The Searchers John Ford's greatest work; The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is far superior).

Comics: Y:The Last Man, Fables, Preacher

Books: Anything Elmore Leonard or Phillip K. Dick

DVD: John Carpenter's 'Prince of Darkness' - probably one of the best horror films ever. Currently working my way through the Harry Potter box set on Blu-Ray.
