Help
I have a horrible craving for Chicago style deep dish pizza. I have done city search and looked on the LA weekly site and can find no listing for it. So does any one know where this delight can be found in the LA area?

(I do like NY style too, but thats not what I'm craving. I have that a couple of weeks ago.)

to the best of my knowledge there is NO place in LA that does proper Chicago deep dish. No place that does anything even close.

if you find one, let me know.

or there is a couple good spots in north hollywod.
2. Joe Peeps at whitsett and riverside.
3. Mazzarinos at coldwater and riverside.
4. Little Toni's at that fucked up intersection where riverside, camarillo, lankershim and vineland collide

there. i just gave u 4 of the best pizza places i ever ate at after living in l.a. for 18 years. enjoy, i will be here in minnesota eating shitty pizza.

When I lived in New Orleans we had a friend visiting from Chicago buy one for us in the airport and bring it with her. Altho this frozen pizza is good, your home oven doesn't cook it right. It's good but not the right flavor. ARRR!!!

As a transplanted NY'er who lived for 18 years on the best pizza in the world, my reccommendation is D'Amore's Pizza Connection which can be found at numerous locations throughout LA. They ship all of their ingredients from Boston, water included. It'd be better if it was from NY, but beggars can't be choosers. They also make fairly good non-pizza related Italian meals. Their chicken parmigana is great and they have good spaghetti and meatballs. It's the only place in LA I'll get pizza from. Ok, maybe Mullberry St. once and a while, but that's it.

Mulberry St. is OK, kinda salty.

Best Pizza in LA (non deep dish) has got to be Casa Bianca in Eagle Rock. Sooooooooooooo good. I used to live right down the street from it when I first moved to LA and truly did not value what I had. Now I have to make periodic pilgrimages.
