wow, no tv as a kid...



speed racer the movie had some tremendous potential. casting was really good. i wished that they did more campy things with it to give it a japanese cartoon converted to english feel. and had this been released as a 3-d movie and referenced a little raver music, it would have transcended to a whole new level of "speed".

(ps: i was never a big fan of the cartoon, but liked the move. matthew fox added a lot to that too.)
