I LOVE that movie!!! My parents taped it off HBO when I was about eight years old, and I still have it. I watch it every year. biggrin

Sometimes, when I'm really sad, I play the scene with the "Mess of Momma's Barbecue" song (they're in the tree house). It always makes me smile because I feel like a kid again, and the song is kind of fun.

That was one of my favorite movies growing up, they used to show it every December 10 or 11 times on HBO, and I'd always look forward to it. To my surprise, I found it on DVD last year, and bought it without a second thought-long live Jim Henson.

I have that on the same tape as "Emmet Otter". smile My parents taped a bunch of Christmas stuff onto one tape when I was young, so it has both of those plus a "For Better or For Worse" cartoon, the Berenstein Bears' Christmas cartoon, "Nutcracker", and "A Christmas Story".

This squealy comment still stands. How did I forget to buy this DVD last year?!? shocked

I need to hear the Barbecue song RIGHT NOW. It kicks so much ass.

Added:

Oof. I just read this about the DVD. Several forums mention this:

'Kermit's narration has been removed, the ending is changed, and some of the lyrics of the songs are redone.'
