Internet regulations. Media tycoons. Virgins. Tania Derveaux.
What do these things have in common?

Well, if you are a virgin and you can prove that you support Network Neutrality, Tania will pay her own travel expenses to come have sex with you.

* applicants must be 18yrs old or above
* condom must be used, except if the applicant prefers to release his semen upon Tania's body without any oral or vaginal contact
* Anal sex is negotiable, although Tania will cease the performance immediately if any form of 'surprise buttsex' occurs
* multiple participants are not allowed, but applicants are entitled to have an audience observe the performance
* if anywhere along the process, it becomes clear that the applicant is not a virgin, Tania reserves the right to terminate all activity
* applicant must be able to provide sufficient evidence that clearly shows he has been defending net neutrality (eg. a print-out of a forum post, a link to a vlog)
* applicant agrees that in the event of the applicant infringing upon Terms of Service during the process of the act, Tania is not responsible for any genital injury that the applicant may suffer
* Tania may deny service for hygiene reasons

Here is the accompanying video:

I am not really sure what else to say here ...

I fully support keeping the internet unregulated and neutral. I suppose using sex to get a message out is nothing new, either. Just watch any channel on TV for a few minutes and you will see some company playing to your pants to sell their product. This woman just takes things a bit further.

The fact that she will pay her own way into your bedroom begs another question: Where do they get their funding?

I am going to leave that one alone.

If proponents of Net Neutrality really want to convince people of their point of view, they need to come up with a simple, easily digestible to the layman version of their platform, but something more substantial than "Net Neutrality good! Corporations bad!"

Honestly, I don't even understand the issue enough to really care one way or the other. It's just something that I continually hear popping up that I've not been able to wrap my head around.

Tania is THE real Suicide Girl, ready to commit Suicide with me to save Net Neutrality(I can prove evidence that I am a Virgin) !

Thanks and honour to Tania !

To give my part I will pay a Business Class Air France ticket to Tania and return of course (but unclosed because there are many Virgins here in France and Tania's Tour will be successull with no doubt !).

But PLEASE, PLEASE, I don't like the 3 guys to come with her and look at us during the service to be provided !!! Anyway I won't pay their trip ! Even if they try to convince me 2 hours long !

Can you include this URGENT precision into the contract ???

Then I will sign immediatly. Because it is really a BIG issue.

I mean really BIG.

You can fill out your application for Tania there.

The video makes total sense, despite the thick Belgian accents.

Their indictment of Virgin Media's plan in the UK seems correct.

Should we be surprised that a major corporation would have more leverage over the internet in a socialist country? Nobody believes it, even in the face of evidence: Big Government doesn't do shit to stop Big Business, and they never will, because they are the same people.

These guys talk about a boycott - that is the ONLY way to fight the "evil corporations." Your dollars are the only weapon against these problems, not your votes for more regulation. Taking these worries to Washington only makes matters worse. Vote Libertarian.

Barack Obama explains the issue and explicitly says he would make support for Net Neutrality a priority in his administration, and will make sure that that is the principle that his FCC commissioners will apply.

I kinda bumped the thread a little there, but I think the point is valid.

You have the threat of Virgin Media, attempting to manipulate internet usage and availability of content. This is happening in a regulation-heavy country, where people expect their government to deal with any and all problems. Watch how effective that strategy would be against Virgin Media. These Belgian guys promote a boycott against Virgin and their subsidiaries. This is an effective idea. The only one that could work, actually.

Here in the US, we are not far from dealing with this issue, and we have a gov't that is equally useless to stop, say, Time Warner from giving people the "ultimate internet experience". No Democrat or Republican is going to do shit to stop a media company from taking over internet traffic. We might even be told it's for our own safety. Vote Libertarian.

Okay, at some point, the government is going to either allow or deny corporations' plans to prioritize bandwidth based on payments from sites and web services. I'd prefer they denied them. That's why I'm voting for Barack Obama.

If you want to live in an imaginary world where there is no FCC and every consumer has free access to all of the information they need to make an informed decision about every product and service they use (and where there are no service provider monopolies), then by all means, have fun in your fantasy land. For those of us in the real world who want to keep corporations from controlling the internet now, there is an option.

Ah yes. The Libertarian once again gets schooled with "reality".

The reality is that gov't will always be in bed with business. I absolutely think we should get rid of the FCC. Obama's message is seriously crippled by the fact that he's talking about a regulatory agency, that most fickle and political of concepts. Every agency is corrupt - EPA, HUD, FCC - it's a long list.

I say 'vote libertarian' because I care, and I have considered all the past and ongoing failures of ever-growing government. I live in the same world you do. Reduce power for all, equally.

well fuck me... surreal

i donk know which one would worry me more: if their 'measures' worked and actually made noise in the mass media or if the whole think gets snuffed out and net neutrality goes south. if they got as far as sg i am inclined towards the former. however it is a sad state of affairs that people outside the media circus, the ones you might expect to have not lost sight of what the primary role of the media is supposed to be and be critical of its obsession with sex and cheap thrills, would now so shamelessly use sex to promote their agenda.
