I'm lost
OLD SKOOL

APR 20, 2008 02:48 PM

I consdier myself a man about town...well-travelled....cultured, if you will. I also love beer. In my travels, I have tasted a few delicious beers that I just can't get anywhere near me. This makes me sad.

Beer is such an oddly marketed product. There are microbrews from Colorado than I can easily get at my corner liquor store...and yet there are mass-produced beers from 200 miles away that just aren't available to me.

I want to set up a beer exchange program. Do you have an abundant supply of Rainier Beer? Natty Boh? Fat Tire? Iron City? Well, stop being a drunk, greedy bastard and let ME have some...dick.

In return...I'd be happy to send you an equal amount of Flying Fish, Brooklyn Beer, Yuengling, Rolling Rock...etc.

For just pennies a day...you can keep me stewed the to the gilld. Please...think of the children.

I can get you Fat Tire and Rainier. I'll take Brooklyn Beer.

Also, we have a thread on this very thing in the Brewpub group. Check it out!

I considered doing something similar a while back over on the Hank III board; figured no one drank more beer than those guys, and I could get some good stuff. The only problem, as it turns out, is its illegal to send the stuff through the mail :/
One of these days I should do a "beer Tour" of the country and just go from one microbrewery to the next.

Hmm...would you possibly be interested in some Samuel Adams? Anything else?

Myself, I've wanted to try some Yuengling, but I've never had the opportunity.

If the logistics of shipping from the UK worked i could send you some good stuff, not too sure if you can send beer on international mail / courier though

I can get Sam Adams at the corner store...or, as you call it the "Connah Stah". Got any other local beers? We have Yuengling all over the place here. It'd be no problem to send it.

Or "tha packy," if you prefer. wink

Hmm...I'm not much of a beer snob, so I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Any fellow Massholes out there w/some thoughts?

If Boston Beerworks produced some of their beers in a bottle he could send out some of that but I don't think they do.

I haven't had Brooklyn in 3 years so I'm not sure which kind I tried- I'll take anything they make really.

Not that I want to do anything illegal, but shipping supply stores sell these styrofoam soda packers. They fit beer bottles too.

Yes, they still make it. Vermont Brewing Company produces it (I believe).

I know that I can get Magic Hat quite easily, and I don't live all that far from Cash. I think the only kind they no long distribute is their Fat Angel.

I'm crazy over Fort. There's ONE place here that sells it for $22 a bottle, is it cheaper over there at all?

Get the chocolate stout , that stuff is orgasmic . Their hefeweizen is one of the better I've had too , but I don't think they bottle it .
