which do you prefer (3 being the least and 1 the most) for you politcally incorrect cartoon enjoyment.

3. family guy
2. simpsons
1. south park

i myself find "south park" to be genius it has it all norms, religion, politics, low brow humor and than sum "simpsons" being a close second.

i just find the stories better written and more appealing on "south park" than the others.

tongue this is why i feel a preview button is important surreal

since i have seen the majority of all 3 of the above choices, preference is decided upon an individual basis w/ heavy bias favoring unseen episodes.

aside from all that, its all about Adult Swim and Futurama, and by Futurama, I mean Bender(you stpuid humans smile).

Huh. I'm quite the opposite:
1. Family Guy (Incredibly funny writing)
2. Simpsons (was great, now they're caricatures of themselves)
3. South Park (I like it, but never feel much desire to watch it)

I've watched an episode or two of Bob & Margaret, but they never seemed that funny, unlike Bob's Birthday, its progenitor.

Now I'm remembering UK animated series... Crapston Villas, Stressed Eric... and my favorite, Rex the Runt.

Simpsons, hands down, by a mile.

Family guy, solid second.

South Park. I just don't get it. Yes, its clever with its satirical humor. But its the delivery, or I should say vehicle for the jokes that turned me off a long, long, time ago. That vehicle being a bunch of potty mouthed kids saying, and doing, the same thing, week, after week, etc. Yeah it was funny, until about the 5th episode I ever saw, "dude, piss off, no way dude, you piss off, no, f*ck you dude, no way, f8ck YOU dude, screw you guys, im turning the channel.

There is a reason Bart only said 'eat my shorts' for one season...

First off, can I ask how many times we're going to do this thread? I feel like I'm caught in a time loop, a la Groundhog's Day, or that cool episode of the X-Files that made a neat running-gag of Mulder's water bed. I realize the previous threads about the cartoons didn't include South Park, but still... I guess everything old is new again.

Second, I think you've seriously misjudged how repetitive South Park is. Sure, it uses foul language, and at first glance it seems like every episode is the same. That, though, is simply not true. It's a neat show, and deals with a wide range of subject matter both humourously and obliquely. Granted, the first season didn't go out of its way to teach us life lessons in a cute, After-School Special kind of way, but subsequent seasons did have a lot to say on a lot of things, such as stem cell research, foul language, and Ben and J.Lo. The stances taken by the show aren't always the most intelligent or well-informed, but they're almost always funny.

Now, to the list:

1. Family Guy
2. Simpsons
3. Futurama
4. The Critic
5. South Park
6. Duckman ("What the hell are you starin' at?!")
And last and least (I think I'm the only one to not really like this show):
7. King Of The Hill
