oh no.
last week while talking to my mum (in england) i heard an american gentleman say "opps sorry, we must have a cross line" he went and my mum and i giggled. i hung up and then had a shower. a few hours later i picked up the phone to call mark and i heard two people having a conversation so i hung up. i thought that by the next day everything would be sorted out and that it wouls just be a little mistake that the phone company had made. again, i am talking to my mum when the same guy (who is called john) said "hello" again. he told me sorry and hung up, i called the phone company and they asked me to plug out the phone for a while so i did but 'john' and i were still getting a crossed lind. finally the phone comapny came out today and they told me that last week they had came out for another resident and for some reason they had unplugged our phone line so WE had been using mr.JOHNS line ! he then asked me if i had made many calls because john would be paying for them.....i had called my mum at least three times and had chatted with her for more that 30 mins each call :/ she lives in england so i have a feeling that mr.john is gonna get a pretty steep bill. i feel horroid ! i wish there was a way i could find out his address and send the money, do any of you know how i may be able to do so ? the guy from the phone company said that he wasnt aloud to give me any information so im pretty stuck.

Don't worry about it. More then likely he will not pay for it (if he has a brain), and he'll make the phone company credit him for their error. It's not your fault, so don't sweat. It's the phone company's fault, they'll get it straightend out. Consider it a couple free calls! wink

Well, it's not as if you did it on purpose, is it? I mean accidents happen and this one isn't even your fault.

Neodrunks right. the fault lies with the phone company. I'm sure things will get straightened out for the best in the end.

I must say though that i'm impressed by your need to do what's right.
