Alright, so i teach at a middle school and I have had this idea for a while and I'm looking for some ideas. This summer I want to create a poster related to diversity. Basically the idea was based on the book XXX by the photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. The idea was to have pictures of people showing different sides of themselve. For example my cousin Tony is going to have a picture of himself dressed in his Correctional officer uniform and then a picture of him just chilling in the summer. I'm going to do my normal work dress(pants, tie, etc) and then a causal picture. So I'm looking for some ladies and I thought, how about SG? Maybe a picture of you at work/unform and then a causal pic tattoos and all. I don't know, just thinking outloud really. The final project would be a poster I would display in my classroom with the message of not judging people by the way they look. remember its for a middle school classroom (8th grade) so nudity is doesn't worksmile

If anything maybe people could just post some pictures ( I won't use any thing without your consent of course) but it would be cool just see the duality of people.

You're soliciting pictures from members of a porn site for an 8th grade classroom.
Good idea there.

What happens when Joe Nobody recognizes the pin-up model in the picture and tells the administration that dude, you're using porn girls in your classroom materials?

Why don't you go down to a local professional office in your area and ask if anyone has tattoos?

Once it hit the internet, I'd probably write it up as an article for the Newswire, that's what!

Alright, ouch...tough room smile I'll proofread better next time sorry. As far as the porn thing, I'm asking for pictures from the sets, or picture that are sugguestive in anyway...sorry I even brought it up...wow...I'm using my picture in it, and I'm a member? Is that wrong? You make it sound like I'm going to take a few pics from a set and put them up in my classroom. Its a little myopic to think I would post porn in a classroom or that everything that comes from SG must be dirty. I didn't know that simply belonging to SG pigeon-holed you as an "evil" or "inappropriate" person.

All kidding aside, a lot of people who post pics on this site probably aren't comfortable with the idea of having a bunch of school kids see them. I mean, I can't speak for everyone, but I know I wouldn't want minors seeing some pictures I've posted on here.

Except this one:

And no, you can't use it. Sorry.

No no, I'm just saying... okay, so say you have a picture of Nixon, fully clothed, not a picture from a set, but still in all her freaky glory. What happens when someone you work with recognizes her and complains to faculty that you're using pictures of a "porn girl" in your classroom?

To put it another way, would it be considered appropriate for you to put up pictures of a fully-clothed, non-porn-pic of Jenna Jameson or Bettie Page in your classroom?

Again, I will clarify, I don't want pictures of people that would necessarily be posted on this site. For example, the idea is that having tats, piercings, etc, doesn't define you as a person. So a picture of someone wearing their business attire from the office they work in and then a picture of them juggling, sleeve tats exposed in a t-shirt and shorts is interesting for kids. At that age they tend to think of adults and all others students in one dimension(skater, prep, teacher, secretary) So its just interesting. ANYWAY, with that said, I withdraw my request. I have no interest in pictures for my project, I'll use the ones I have from my friends, etc. I still think its interesting to post pictures representing different of your persona.

Or what if one of the kids recognizes her because he sneaks onto his older brother's or dad's computer to fap. Then it starts getting whispered around and blown out of proportion. Next thing you know, instead of it being reported to the administration that you have fully-clothed pics of girls who also do porn modeling, a parent over-hears his kid talking and thinks you have full-on spread-teh-leg posters hanging up in your classroom.

Thank you for your response, and I do understand what you are saying. I wouldn't use someone like Nixon for that very reason (although, I'm not sure I would define her as a "porn girl") I do understand what you are saying, I think I was thinking of more of asking the SG community, people like myself that wouldn't be recognized. No I wouldn't use Jenna Jameson, etc. But I do have a poster of Ms Monroe on my wall . Its a head shot, but I've never had a complaint about it. Again, I'm playing devil's advocate too ,I understand what you are saying. That reminds me though, I should put up that poster of Ron Jeremy I have. He has a master's degree in special education, and thats more than I have right now.

Seriously, what subject do you teach where you can go without knowing how to spell "casual"? You seem like a nice, if not terribly foresighted, person, but it concerns me that we have teachers who can't/ won't spell properly.

Jessus Crist, I didn't know that I wuz going to bee atacked by the speling police. Yeah, it concerns me terribly also that there are teachers out there who can't spell? Is that really on your list of concerns? Actually, I've been plagued my entire life with the inability to spell "casual". Its really my only flaw. Well, that and not being very foresightful. That is something I have been working on. Someday I hope I can conquer both of these terrible obstacles in my life. I am "nice" though, and so far that has gotten me pretty far.

Actually, our official organization is titled Grammar Nazi Local 24601.

Yes, we do tend to be snarky when it comes to spelling and grammar errors on here. Download and install Mozilla Firefox, it has a spell-check function incorporated in its browser. Though, if you're a teacher, you shouldn't need one.
