How many people have played disc golf? How many people love disc golf? I haven't noticed a DG presence here on the site yet, so I'm trying to establish one.

Anyone?

I'm working on a new variation that will revolutionize the game. I call it "frisbee-golf-skeet death challenge"

I played daily up until my leg gave out. I don't miss losing my discs, but I do miss playing.

I LOVE disc golfing..aka "frolfing" as we call it.

a lot of people I know choose to still go out in the cold and snow...but I'd rather just wait til it's a more appropriate season. yay frolfers unite!

I am an avid disc golfer, and am lucky enough to have many well designed, well maintained courses around me. Of course winter is the off season and I'm going to suck for a while till I get my throw back. That is of course if it ever fucking stops snowing here.

That said a lot of people dislike it because though it has a much more forgiving learning curve than actual golf, your still going to be terrible for a good while.

OMG i have been looking for a disc golf thread on SG for days! We need to start an official group! Anyhow, i am also an avid disc golfer. I took a disc golf class in college as my PE credit and was totally hooked. Since i live in cali, the birthplace of the sport, i have had the opportunity to play many different courses. Ive played tons in Monterey Bay where i went to college (we had 2 on campus), and also tons in and around southern cali where im originally from. I lived in Indiana for a while and played a few courses there too. Its amazing how big yet how niche this sport is. There are courses pretty much everywhere. We should seriously try to get a disc golf group going..anyone down?

Never played. But I'm interested.
I was confused and thought Joel Silver, producer of Road House, invented this. No. That was Ultimate Frisbee.

yeah ultimate is way different... but just as fun!

disc golf can be tricky to get the hang of. I looked like a damn idiot for the first few months I played haha... but once you get what it's supposed to feel like when you throw correctly, it's like riding a bike...you don't really lose it smile at least for me.

It is world renowned. People come from all over to play there.

I park my truck in the middle of the course occasionally. Totally by mistake.
