is it just me, or did Underworld blatantly rip off the Lycan howl from "An American Werewolf In London?"

Just like every vampire movie, they all rip off something from somewhere. That movie sucked either way.

There's nothing original left in Horror story lines. I don't know why people keep expecting there to be.

The originality (or creativity) comes in how they present the story and how good a spin they can put on it.

to actually answer the question, yes it was the howl from American Werewolf in London. either way, the movie left me rather unsatisfied. my craving for crazy vampire on werewolf action has not been sated.... mad

a lot of sound effects are owned by major corporations , the kind that own other major corporations and will cut costs and re-use the same sound effects in as many things as possible.

for example a disney movie and an abc sitcom might have the same bird chirps, that kind of thing.

there are several noises I never fail to recognize and weird me out. you wouldn't believe how many bad tv shows I've seen use door & lever sounds from Doom2 and the scream from Dark Forces. and in weird situations. and the rocket firing noise from GoldenEye, I don't know where I heard it first, but I know I've heard it be several different things not related to each other in the least surreal

its 4:20, I'm not making any sence...

In the case of Underworld, they also rather blatantly ripped a lot off from a roleplaying company called White Wolf. In fact, they're getting their asses sued as we speak.

I can't count the number of times I've heard the same door creak. They use that same sound effect everywhere; Buffy seems to use it the most. The same creaky door, opening over and over.

And about that White Wolf crap: Willy heard about it; Willy don't care.

The Lucasarts man-falling-to-his-death scream is my favorite. I know you know what I'm talking about.
