While so many music icons seem to fade away without dignity or creative energy to speak of, David J has plenty of both, and he doesn't look to fade away any time soon. David is best known as the bassist for the influential British bands Bauhaus and Love and Rockets. But with Bauhaus coming to a well-publicized end (their final album, Going Away White, came out this month), David is setting off in a new direction. He'll keep putting on tremendous shows with Love and Rockets, but he's also finally presenting...
Once again a great interview,it was interesting to hear something more about David J's projects instead of just reading the usual well known Q&A about Bauhaus.
Awesome interview. David J's always been a sort of hero of mine, artistically. There was a lot of really great stuff in this interview that you don't get from a lot of other interviews. Great job.

wow. if that comes to ny, i would give my right eye to see it.
eyy, I know this guy.
I used to work at Lou's Records, and he comes in all the time.
I remember running into him in the parking lot of the Knitting Factory
in Hollywood, the first time I saw SMOG, and we nodded to each other.
Never liked Bauhas (from what I've heard) but he seemed like a cool, friendly,
humble dude. And I heard from my friend who worked at Lou's after me
that his son is always coming in buying awesome stuff I think, with his girlfriend.
And he says in the interview here, he just turned 20, so yeah, I guess he's younger
than us by a handful.
Anyway, there's this excellent Love and Rockets cover by this
band called Ativin on their album Night Mute. Check it out, DARK post rock!!!!
