...gin-soaked olives. Seriously, nothing.

I cannot understand why no one sells these things in stores. I would by them by the gallon. For reals.

They sell "tipsy olives" which are soaked in vermouth, which, judging by your pictures, is half of what you're looking for. But seriously, you'll save money making them yourself. All you have to do is put olives and your alcohol of choice in a jar.

If you're speaking of the Trader Joe's blue cheese stuffed olives, I find their cheese is too hard and much prefer the garlic stuffed variety.

They *almost* do. Fits in with the martini theme, at least.

there is nothing better than food, stuffed with food. It's almost as good as food wrapped in bacon. Everything is better wrapped in bacon.

Everything, including myself, is better soaked in gin.

Half? HALF?! You, sir, don't know the correct mix amounts for your martinis!

But seriously, you'll save money making them yourself. All you have to do is put olives and your alcohol of choice in a jar.

Yes, but then I waste all that delicious alcohol as well. I grant it's a fine idea, but it doesn't solve my particular quandary. I want to be able to enjoy the taste of (many) martini olives without necessarily having to drink (many) martinis, but without having to sacrifice (any) alcohol in the process.

Perhaps you could do the jar soaking thing, but then just replace the olives in the jar each time you feel the need to eat many gin soaked olives minus having to drink all those martinis. No waste. You just refill the olives, add a dash of alcohol that the gin soaked up, and there you go!

Seriously.

It should go something along the lines of:

Gin this is Vermouth, Vermouth this is Gin....now stay the fuck away from each other. You just introduce them, you don't want a 50/50 mix.

And I fucking hate olives......but I can deal with the Blue Cheese-stuffed variety, or, even better, Stilton-stuffed.

Fucking +1 on that . And the stuffed olives were bought at a grocery store in South Jersey this weekend , afraid I'm coming up blank on which one . The cheese is soft , not hard at all , but they are pretty rowdy tasting ( in a good way ) .
