I now know what I want for my birthday!

Then I just need Cadbuy's Creme Eggs that were the size of your hand (and Wagon Wheels too...they've definitely fucking shrunk and don't give me this 'but you've grown' crap, I don't buy it... tongue ) and another Sword Of Omens and I'd have my own little '80s nostalgia bubble! biggrin

I just have to figure out how to smuggle Murdock back into a local hospital after every adventure and then I could rule the '80s! Mwwwaahhhhhaahhhaaa!

OK, I'm rambling now, but the video's cool anyway... ooo aaa

Something we were mulling over while watching He-man videos last night (hooray for eBay! biggrin ); if you lived on Eternia and Prince Adam was walking behind a wall and you could only see his head, would you think he was He-man? confused

Discuss.

I'd yell "He-Man!" then when he looked round, point and say "Gotcha!"

In the UK they only (I believe) produce Cadbury's Creme Eggs for the Easter season...however this has now unofficially become the time straight after Christmas right up until Easter itself.

You may have some luck on this site after Christmas if you bookmark it for reference until then...anyway, good luck!

I ordered the DVD tonight, so it should be here soon...I'll watch it and snigger at Spike's potentially anarchistic actions when it arrives. biggrin

Wagon Wheels have deffinitely shrunk. But then you never used to be able to buy them in packs of 10. Just eat the whole pack in one go. You know you want to wink Also, they invented Jammie and Toffee wagon wheels, so I forgive them for making them smaller.

I'd really want a Gold Bar the size of my leg. Or even an Oreo the size of my head.

As for he-man. Please tell me how much the new series sucks bum fluff. Doesn't it?

It's lame. Poor Orko, what did they do to him?! ::sob::

I used to have all the action figures. Damn oxfam and my mum.

They DEFINITELY have shrunk...thanks for noticing! biggrin

I (presumably fortunately) haven't seen the 'New Adventures...', are they really bad?
Orko was da man in the original cartoon...I still have an Orko action figure somewhere (he span around when you pulled a plastic string out of him that wound up his motor...the finest He-man figure released IMO...)

My mum gave away all my Star Wars figures (the He-man ones just seem to be 'misplaced') to 'underprivilaged children' too...welcome to the extreme resentment club! biggrin

They are really that bad:

Bad Points:

*They made Prince Adam a "cool" bratty/whiney teenager instead of a fairy boy.

*Orko is no longer the wise/mysterious (but slightly scared) sprite that he once was. He's now a pathetic loser who is the butt of everyone's jokes, he just cries and shakes all the time while being stupid and is always the last one to "get" the plan.

*Cringer isn't a cute pussy cat who just cowers slightly. But now he runs and WHIMPERS every two seconds.

*He-Man has gone all uber preachy and talks of morals and the like far too often (like many a modern day cartoon/remake... Transformers anyone?)

*The animation sucks - but not in the good way.

Good Points:

*Battle Cat still rules

*Skeletor is still pathetic and great fun to laugh at

*Man at Arms still rules

I loved how on I Love The '80s everyone was talking about how homo-erotic He-Man was.

"It may possibly be the most homo-erotic cartoon of all time."

Yeah right Keith! As if a cartoon featuring an almost naked 'most powerful man in the universe' would have any homosexual allure at all... wink

I seem to remember having an Orko figure and being pissed off that it was out of scale to the other figures. If I still find that I have it, do you want it?

That is so cute love

when I was little at school we used to play He-Man. I'd always be SheRa because I had mega long hair (past my bum). I'd spin around to "change into costume" and there'd be this down syndrome boy who would always run up and pull my hair really hard.

After a while it became such a hindrance to our fantasy world that we played Thundercats.

But He-Man and She-Ra was where it was at.

Watch out though as this title seems to be Region 2 only so it won't play on a standard US DVD player without modification...

I looked for the She-ra/He-man cartoon 'movie' on eBay yesterday and it seems to sell for close to £20 (about $28) quite regularly...I'm gutted as I saw that in the cinema many years ago and I NEED to see it again...

OK, this finally arrived this morning and I can honestly say if you are able to play Region 2 DVDs on your DVD player (and your TV accepts a PAL signal input...), and you like He-man (obviously), then you should get this IMMEDIATELY!

It's absolutely storming and has the official 'WaTed Seal Of Approval'¨ as it seems to be later episodes with loads of action, different characters, and an absolutely sublime quality of picture transfer...I can't wait until Christmas when they release Vol. 2 of this range! biggrin

The thing that really pisses me off is that Curly Wurly's aren't as chewy nowadays. I remember losing a tooth in one once, brilliant.
