The concept of the "play-date."

When I was growing up, my parents didn't schedule play time. I just went outside and played Ninja Turtles with the neighborhood kids and ate bugs and built forts. What's the deal?

Also, the French pedicure. Why would you want to make it look like you don't clip your toenails?

You can't let children outside unsupervised now because they'll get molested. The world is big and scary. Stay inside and play on Myspace.

I have an army hat. It has 'instructions' inside the cap.

1) Do not wear in cold weather environments. (although it has lined, fold-down ear covers)
2) If cap is worn under helmet, helmet head band may require readjustment for proper fit and comfort.

surreal

i would love to see the instructions for something dangerous.

People who stop at the top of the escalator before they step off. It's not that hard, people. You can take it on the fly, I promise.

I called the Academy and told them I was a quirky cynic from backwater Minnesota.

I'm sure my Oscar is in the mail.

I actually have no opinion on her; I never saw Juno.

People who drive Hummers, but live downtown in a big-ish city. How does that thing even fit into the parking garage? I look at you and point and laugh because I can fit into 90% of the parking spaces that you cannot.

Going to a "dollar drink night" at a country bar in a large city only to have the regulars looking at you as if you are strange because you aren't decked out in cowboy boots, a large belt buckle, a hat, and a multi-colored rodeo shirt.

Trucker hats. Who invented them? Why John Deere? Why are they still here? Do deer ignore the hunters with big meshy heads and run away from hunters with smaller heads?

I think the "play-date" is for the adults as much as the children.

I really need to build a fort or tree house. That would be FUN.

Dude. If this were what I hated, it would be a much different and much longer thread.

No, it's just that which boggles the mind.

And why do they call it taking a dump, anyway? You're not taking it anywhere. They should call it leaving a dump.

Dunno, I also can't figure out why a "near-miss" isn't considered an accident. Seems like that would be a "near-hit."

No shit. That was one of the things I love about Scrubs the most...especially the episode where they used laugh tracks/applause.
