where do you get tattoo ideas??

I usually get mine from literature- books and the like. And I'm not talking about designs, but ideas. My first tattoo was lifted straight from the pages of "Snow Crash", by Neal Stephenson- I got POOR IMPULSE CONTROL on my right upper arm. The guy wanted me to get it done on my forehead, but somehow I talked him out of it. As for my others, I kind of see what's out there, and then go from there.

i get ideas from songs or some books or some shit, then i draw up my own image to it. then i take it to the tattoo artist and ask him to draw it up better...cuz i suck at drawing. dont look at shit for inspiration. get shit that means something to you...make it yourself.

i have to say i'm not a fan of getting anything that can be found anywhere other than inside my screwed up little head. otherwise, you run the very real risk of meeting some total jackass who's going to say "ooh, i have that exact same tattoo!!!" and you're going to feel like a big fat dope.

yah, its fine just to get inspiration for something original tho

believe it or not, I got the idea for the tatoo I'm gonna get from a tube of moisturizer
