it is against the law here now to drive in the left " hammer" lane unless passing. i wish they'd enforce it a little better. and going 1/2 mph faster than the other guy is not passing....

There are an inordinate number of Pennsylvania drivers in New Jersey who plod along in the left hand lane, and refuse to get over.

The Left hand lane in NJ is for SOOOOPER fast driving.

HA! We Michiganders have gravel trains in the left lane. Ever been passed by an 82-ton, twin-trailered truck with 30-odd wheels? Or, even better, tried to pass said truck when it's bouncing across three lanes?

No? Then quityerbitchin'. tongue wink

That is so incedibly true. I always thought the drivers around here were bad until I spent a few weeks in Boston. My first day there I had to drive a rental car from Logan to Waltham (not knowing where the hell I was going) in a teeming rain and can honestly say I was scared for my life.

Even in the rain no one on the Mass Pike was doing less than 80, and that's not an exagerration.

My best advice: never drive in Atlanta. Having grown up in the DC Metro area I thought I feared nothing with wheels. I was wrong.

You know, one day we're going to cut the bridges and float you out to sea so we can have beach-front property.

BULLSHIT!!! Philly Drivers may be the worst drivers ever. they should rename the town "lets all tailgate and them slam on the breaks at the slightest curve because were too bad at driving to take a curve in the highway faster than 30 mph"

Hey!! Let's not generalize here people!!

I might drive too fast sometimes, but I do so in a safe (yet still aggressive) way. I don't tailgate, I use the left lane only for passing, and I signal all of my lane changes.

Oh yeah ... and I'm a Philly driver.

I've been driving for as long as some of the people on this site have been alive and I've only ever been involved in one accident, and in that case I was rear-ended while my car wasn't even moving.

The kicker? I was hit by a Jersey driver.

So there!

That's true......if "driving better" means plodding along at 50 mph in the fast lane....and getting completely baffled at the concept of a traffic circle.

I hate the fucking traffic circles. They don't confuse me because I worked a number of years in NJ ... I just hate them.
