Disturbing. I wouldn't say scared me but it certainly made me shudder.
I'm being really dumb here, but what actually was that part of the movie about? Did it have any relevance to the plot at all?
first off- the wicker man (original) is fucking incredible!!! and second- yeah that shit from the shining was just to fuck with us i'm sure. look at us-still freaked out by a half second still!

That's true, but I consider it more of a war film than horror. "The Descent" has a kind of lurking creepiness that just tip-toes up behind you until the last half-hour, and then lunges at you in a fury.

Except they showed the monsters way too early.
Same problem as Jeepers Creepers. It's scary until you see the monster.

I hated "Jeepers Creepers" the whole way through, so that comparison doesn't work for me .
