So I'm thinking of getting rid of most of my old RPG sourcebooks (D&D in particular) and switching to digital for those few games I might actually play. But I can't lug my desktop around to gaming sessions or cons, so I'm thinking I need a portable device of some kind (palmtop, laptop, whatever) that can a) read graphics-heavy PDF files and (less crucially) hopefully run some sort of diceroller program, plus b) decent (4-5+ hour) battery life. It'd also ideally come in under $100, with $200 my absolute ceiling, and that only if I were getting something really slick (or there just weren't any other options). Any ideas?

I looked at using my hacked PSP, but Bookr 0.71, the only PDF viewer homebrew app, crashes under the strain of the sort of PDFs I'd be using...it's really more oriented towards the primarily textual kind of eBook. And something tells me that DS homebrew will be even less up to the task. I do have an old black and white Palm, but I don't think it's powerful enough or has much storage capacity.
