I don't know about you, but I still curse the fact I no longer own my massive childhood stockpile of those wonderful plastic bricks.

Not only do I have my own childhood Legos at my parents, but my kids now have their own massive stash at my place. It's fantastic!

And there's a Lego store downtown, too!

I've gotten to the point where I've considered paying for lot auctions on eBay.

That, and plunking down $500 for the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon that came out recently.

Lego was my favourite toy as a kid, no contest - and I think my parents gave my collection away to one of the neighbour kids when we moved to Australia. frown

Regardless, happy birthday Lego!

Same here. The biggest problem I had with Lego was that it was really easy to tell you got some for Christmas just by shaking your gifts. Christmas-wrapped Lego has a distinctive sound when shaken by a 7-year-old. blush

I love Lego's

I agree with the poster above me, you always knew on Christmas when you got them.

My mom tried to get me to play with the pink ones..not interested..

My parents still have mine. And after seeing the images in this thread I'm tempted to go out and buy more.

I use to have a bucket full of it, but i think my nan gave it away. The stuff is so expensive now, i have no idea how i compiled such a huge quantity of the stuff to begin with.

Have children.

Then buy them lots of LEGO before they're even able to construct the models themselves.

Have fun.

I have a bunch of new stuff where I am now, and all my old stuff back at my parents place... thinking next time I'm back there I'm going to have to go through all my old stuff... and mainly make sure that my legos come with me. wink
