Here's a couple tips of what not to drink, to avoid some common 21st B-day pitfalls.

1.Jagermeister. Translated as "Master Hunter," this vile substance was originally, accoring to legend, flavored with deer's blood. Unless you want your evening to turn into hallucinations straight outta 'The Fisher King,' stay away from it.

2.Anything that's on fire. If it has bacardi 151 in it, it would be better put to use stripping grease from an old engine.

3. Any shots that involve 4 or more people doing the shot from glasses attached to a ski/ two-by-four/ tennis racket/ car door. No real physical danger here, but you'll look silly and you might spill your shot.

3. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should anything with cream base be consumed. This includes, but is not limited to: cement mixers, blowjobs, white russians, etc. etc. Cream will curdle in your stomach when mixed with anything citrus, and believe you me, that ain't a pleasant things to deal with coming back up if you know what I mean.

yes absinthe is illetgal, however you can still make your own. All you need is wormwood (easily found in the midwest especially in Indiana), Fennel, Anise, Licorice, Hyssop, you finely chop the wormwood and let it sit in a high proof alcohol (at least 100 - I use 151) for at least a week, when you strain it out you will have homemade absinthe. (Drop some of the Anise to creat Absinth - a offshoot of this popular drink)
WARNING it is a very dangerous drink esp. when you make it in 151, dont drink more than a small amount.

Also, I believe Everclear is legal in the US so you can always imbibe that badboy.

A tall, cool glass of Cash

The thing to remember with Absinthe is they used to use it to kill tapeworms because nothing else would. The stuff is very poisonous, so read up first and make sure you know what you're doing.

i think good drinks to start off with as a beginner are things that are made with mixers and low-alcohol content liquers.

examples:
melonball
malibu and pineapple juice
whiskey sour

or you can go for the vodka/juice combo:
screwdrivers (oj)
cape cod (cranberry)
madras (oj + cranberry)
greyhound (grapefruit)

whatever you do, try not to mix your different boozes. makes for wicked hangovers. and if you can afford to, try not to drink the crappy well (non-brand name) boozes. for the same sorts of reasons.

and try to drink as much water as you can along the way.

ps - before you leave to go out, put a BIG glass of water and some aspirin by your bed so you can take it when you crash into your bed after the party. you'll be much better off for it in the morning!

Two pitchers of beer! Though for it to count you have to slosh it everywhere, spill it on yourself at least once, and drink it really fast.

i just stick with lots and lots of beer....but i guess thats kinda boring for your twenty first b-day.

i dont know...drink whatever your friends hand you. for god sakes make sure you know the person tho.

I would also second Freyja's advice of a big glass of water and an aspirin before bed afterwards, and take a multivitamin, at the same time. Trust me on this one.

Don't be afraid to drink the quote girly drinks, Alien Secretions are good Midori and bitters is pretty good. And my personal Fav if they will serve it to you is a red light 1 praire fire followed by a snake bite and then just a good ol shot of midori. edited cause I posted a drinking game its really easy to die doing. I almost did.
