So i grew up with out knowing my father at all and i have known far to many guys and girls who grew up in similar situations. I also know mothers who are raising children in the same situation. It makes me sad to see this happen. I know its hard for not only the mother but the child being raised. For this reason i decided to start a group called FATHERLESS where those of us who have gone through this or are going through this can go and talk and relate and even help those that dont know how to handle it or what to do.
I wanted to get the word out to everyone about the group and i was told the best thing to do would be to go post a thread on the boards. SO i hope that everyone goes and checks it out and my group gets a good start. smile

I think, like the motherless group, it would be nice to include those of us who are adults and have lost our fathers to either death or estrangement. My dad died when I was 23 and I still miss him everyday- most especially because of his conspicuous absence as a granddad to my son.

Thanks for the group, I've already found it to be quite cathartic and it's not like me to vent my personal shit in a public forum.
