Unless some agreement can be made before Sunday. That's gonna be really really weird. I think it's awesome that SAG is being really supportive, and that all the high-profile actors will not be in attendance. I wonder what this means for the Oscars?
this part I found kinda funny:
Nominees and party attendees would be expected to go down a traditional red carpet, but they would then split off to various parties.
The image, I find, is hilarious. Depp or Jolie sauntering down the red carpet, only to sprint into a limo at the end and zoom off.

I failed to mention that this is because of the on-going WGA strike. I apologize.
Gotta say I did not see Schnabel winning for Best Director, though I'm incredibly happy that he did (I thought the Coens would grab it). And 'Atonement' for Best Drama? Great film, but I think we all thought NCFOM would get it. But the Coens did grab Best Screenplay, which is weird because from what I understand, not much was changed from the novel.
Though Blanchett won Best Supporting Actress and Javier Bardem for Best Supporting Actor. Daniel Day-Lewis got Best Actor Drama and he fucking deserved it. And 'The Diving Bell & the Butterfly' got Best Foreign Film, deservedly.
I get the feeling the Oscars (both noms and winners) this year are gonna be all over the place.
