Secret Photography Agent and resident Fashion Icon Zoetica often has the staff at SGHQ asking, "What's Zo Wearing?" Her unique and eccentric style is a rallying call to those who suffer from mainstream malaise. Each week, she tells us how she's combined ordinary items to create her extraordinary look. Born out of the murky depths of her black hole closet,"What's Zo Wearing" is SG's answer to middle-of-the-road makeover shows.
Mixing pinstripes and argyle, and I will not be stopped. A deep-rooted obsession with combining gray and eggplant is to blame. My bedroom is a variety of grays and eggplant/plum shades, the only non-black tattoos I have are deep violet, I'm an avid consumer of purple vegetables and so on. The big squishy eggplanty scarf you see here came from a street vendor in Venice and cost all of $10 unlike some of the popular versions which have peaked in popularity recently. These are often overpriced and worn in ways I cannot approve. (Example)
Moving on, however, let us talk of 3/4 length coats. Rather, let me sing praises to them, because there is just no better-looking fit. A good 3/4 length jacket makes one look taller and better-proportioned through the sheer magic of its construction. This is true for boys and girls alike, and believe me when I say that few visions are more dashing than a man in a pair of slim pants and a 3/4 length coat. Onward, to the photos!
Scarf: $10 Venice
Jacket: Vintage H.Naoto Heaven
Dress: $29 Angel on Melrose
Socks, other socks & arm warmers: one of the many sock shops of Tokyo
Boots: $50 Demonia
Bag: don't ask, Black Peace Now, Tokyo

Maybe my favorite outfit yet . Do you do your own make up , cause your eyes look incredible in this set . And whichever Olsen that is in that photo , it looks like the scarf could eat her whole .

A 5ft-nothing girl like me needs boots like those. I love them x
For you and for everyone else diggin' the boots - here they are for a little more than i paid (I got my pair on sale). Meant to link when i wrote the column.
Look, I'm not an expert on color or anything, but that all looks very gray to me. If anything it's a gray-green. I'm sure there's a name for that color, but it's still pretty gray. But you're right about the (black) shoes.
You have (muted) gold platform shoes and brown shorts and leggings amidst your gray leggings, gray shirt and black hoodie. I mean, I'm not a fashion plate and never claimed to be, but I'm really not seeing too much of a difference.

Nerp, that's olive green, actually. While I'm tempted to agree about you not being a color expert, perhaps you are just confused by the bluish tint of the photographs?
If you're expecting me to parade around in a candy raver getup and rainbow shoes you'll be waiting a long time.
I love this feature tremendously. Zoetica is a special creature and her fashion is always inspirational and quite diverse, thought some may not notice it.
