Dane Cook just re-broke the record for longest stand-up act.

My only question is, does it count when only half an hour is your own material?

what the hell does he talk about for that long? I'd probably have seizure or break out a sweat from him jumping back and forth.

I have no idea. I never really found him funny so this sounds like something to torture people with.

(Pause for laugh) (chuckle to self) So, I am at this tasty freeze and im ordering an ice cream and this guy is in line behind me (mime being in line and looking over at guy) and he is probably going to order a tasty freeze ice cream too!!...(pause for laugh) (pose, stretch, flex, stare) and I am thinking damn chocloate or vanilla - dude, you know that feeling when you cant make up your mind what ice cream cone you want???!!!??? (pause for laugh) (make a facial expression, throw dane cook horns)... Well anyhow, im at Tasty Freeze.... etc, etc.

i had a friend who was obsessed with dane cook and he would make me watch his stupid specials. the only time i ever found him remotely funny was when he did a bit about car alarms. and even then that only got a small chuckle.
he sucks.

he was actually pretty good in Mr. Brooks. i mean, he did play an obnoxious douchebag, but at least he took it seriously. abandoning comedy might not be such a bad move for his career.

this is my favorite scene with him:

Over half of the act is probably just him screaming key parts of a joke over and over. Because screaming makes anything funny, just ask teenage skateboard douchebags.

Hey. Don't make fun of Dane Cook. That man has overcome the near insurmountable disability of not being even remotely funny and become a highly paid man who talks about stuff on stage.

Just remember that anything funny that comes out of his mouth was funnier when the person he stole it from said it.

It takes seven hours for him to come up with a standard set's worth of funny.
