I guess I don't have any, but this doesn't make me want to quit. Just the opposite. If I had reasons, you know, I'd be constantly judging to see whether I had measured up to them -- made myself "worthwhile."

Or if I believed I needreasons to go on, some kind of justification, got to have them, I'd always be thrashing around for the right ones or better ones.

My main reason for living is that I'm afraid that once I'm dead that's it. If I believed in God and was Christian, I'd be even more afraid of dying, though. It's not Hell I'm afraid of; Heaven, as described in the bible and by most Christian holy men, sounds like the scariest fucking place imaginable. If I opened a haunted house, it'd be Heaven-themed.

I am, however, having an increasingly difficult time denying my curiosity about what happens when we die. I want to find out. Hopefully I can get over that soon. Or be involved in a horrible fifteen-car pile-up that causes hundreds to be late to work.

What would be the point of being dead?
I would personally perfer reekin havok on the world while im here and when its my time to go ill go. Life is all about makin connections. If you dont find pleasure in your existance remember that someone out there would so much so perfer to be in your shoes.
biggrin
All seriousness aside i live for alcohol, fucks (sex is nice but fuckin is what its all about), eatting pussy miao!! (yum!), smokin (till it kills me), and um .... oh yeah to log on to this site everyday... its relaxing after a long day of punchin buttons.

Things to do, places to go, people to meet. As simplistic as it sounds, those are my reasons.

I know it doesn't always seem like it, but the world can really be a beautiful place sometimes.

That's what keeps me going, I keep looking for the next time that I just look around and am rendered speechless by the beauty of it all.

Nobody's mentioned Hamlet yet? Well, I will:

"To sleep, perchance to dream; Aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil
Must give us pause."

(W. Shakespeare, in case you don't recognize it... biggrin )

Fear of "the undiscovered country", in other words.

But there are other, perhaps better reasons:

I like to hear the ocean, and see the sun shining through the trees in the forest. I like to smell the dampness after the rain. I like to listen to symphony orchestras storm the gates of Heaven. I like to see women smile. I like the satisfaction of making computers do useful and/or fun things. Well, I could go on... but I'm pretty sure death precludes all those things.
