I got of medication for depression 2-3 months ago.I had been on it for years.
had a real bad time lately, been drinking alot ..
I came to a head Sunday night had a fight with my bro (all my fault) I started choking him and he had an asmah attack and couldn't breath.
I am having a lot of trouble living with that, and there is no way in hell I wanna go back on the medication so I thought I'd give this ago

Sorry I can't copy your text (computer prob mad )
the session was pretty full on! he was telling me I was in a deep hypnotic state but I felt normal!
But at time I couldn't feel my body. weird!
At times it felt like that time just before sleep when your mind wanders and you are half asleep but with this I was fully awake.

My muther tried it: I'd say it works, but only in a short-term way and it's almost certainly better to just deal with whatever is fucking you up.

Yeah I have tried "just dealing with shit".
I don't see Hypnotherapy as an easy fix.It is going to take a lot of work on my part, I guess it is all about changing the way you react to things and the way you think. I'll try anything but the drugs if I can help it.
Anyway I am having weekly sessions for the next 3 weeks , I'll keep posting here and in my journal and see how things are looking next month.

Yeah well for all who are interested, I had my 2nd session yesterday. I am still feeling great, can honestly say I have never felt better. I am just dealing with shit so much better.
I have all this energy like I have not know since I was a teenager, Remember how when as soon as you got home from school you would be wanting to go play straight away?

I usually do self hpnosis- I stare at a spiral n say- You will be the best house keeper EVER-
it works sometimes LOL
but yeah- Ive been hypnotized by that Art guy that was on Jenny Jones- he was freinds with my friend Mai n we all went over to her place n he came over n hypnotised some of us.--- not for helping us with problems- just for shits n giggles*
heres a spiral- its coolSpiral biggrin

heres tips n tricks for hypnotising yourselfSelf Hypnosis tips

I do self hypnosis sometimes.... I absolutely think it helps. I'd love to have a professional help me out with a few things- like biting my nails-n such.
I use to have a really cool spiral on my desktop- but I dont have that one anymore. frown

I can't be hypnotized. It makes me sad. I want to be hypnotized and then put between to chairs and have the magician stand on me.

i did hynpo-therapy when i was a kid. i had some pretty heavy anxiety about some issues at school (silly elementary school stuff - i was a slow adjuster..). anyway, i don't remember much of it. but it worked.

on that note, i'm not sure if it worked b/c it *worked* (in the 'clinical' sense) or if it was a sort of placebo effect. in other words, someone 'professional' assuring me & treaing me was all i needed - then i felt fine and secure. i dunno that it *matters* that much per say...
