Back in October 2006, the Suicide Girls made their CBS debut when they strutted their stuff on camera and took over the set of Anthony E. Zuiker's CSI:NY for "Oedipus Hex" -- an episode of murder, mystery, and the sexiest burlesque bloodbath ever seen on primetime. The episode starred Missy, Al, Fractal, Nixon, Sawa, Zoli, Amina, and Razzi, all trying to prove their innocence after becoming suspect in the murder investigation of another SG. For those who, like me, are a bit obsessed with CSI in general -- and perhaps more than a bit obsessed with Gary Sinise (hellooo Lieutenant Dan!) -- CSI:NY is the cat's meow. Throw in some SGs and (in my not so humble opinion) you've got a damn fine night glued to the boob toob.

To give fans something a little more (because face it, these days we always want something a little more), Zuiker's team and the folks over at CBS have engaged viewers with the launch of CBS's new interactive feature called Eyecons. Basically, every week during a new episode of CSI:NY viewers are given a password that allows them to access special behind-the-scenes featurettes and rare interviews with the show's cast and crew. According to the blurb on the website:

Eyecons is an interactive feature only on CBS. Watch CSI: NY for hidden phone numbers, web sites, and codes. When you see the video egg alert illuminate on screen, dial the number, try the web address, or enter the code into the Eyecons box provided. This will "unlock" special behind-the-scene footage you can't get anywhere else. It's your reward for watching CSI: NY live. Eyecons on CBS. Once it spins, you're in!

Sounds a bit more complicated than it really is. During last week's "The Thing About Heroes" episode, while Lieutenant Dan, um, I mean "Mac" was busy tracking down a stalker and dealing with latent childhood trauma, viewers were given clues to spell out the code "COWARD". Afterwards viewers went here and typed the code into the Eyecons text box, thus unlocking the behind-the-scenes teaser of the week, which, for that episode, just so happened to be about SG. It's a three-minute preview of the SuicideGirls Special Feature that's on the recently released CSI:NY Season 3 DVD. Check it out below:

Other Eycons features include an inside look at wedding cake mayhem, making zombies for the Halloween episode, an interview with Zuiker, and a visit to the Body Farm -- a place that studies real dead bodies. Go here to check out the Eyecons you might have missed and good luck figuring out the code in next week's episode as the CSI crew investigates a "street illusionist" (guest star Criss Angel) whose biggest trick might be getting away with murder... or just covering up the fact that he sucks. Tune in...

one of the great things about CSI is that you don't have to watch every episode to enjoy it...thank you Jerry Bruckheimer.

I like the CSI universe, and must say that it was one of the best episodes. The facial expression of Danny Messer was cool, as one of the girls suggested a date.
P.S.: Messer is the german word for knive, what irony. biggrin
