The Hives are, quite possibly, one of Swedens loudest exports -- an emergency broadcast of rock proportions that first ricocheted across the Scandinavian countryside in the early 90s, waking those asleep at their radio dials and commanding attention, every polished-loafer shimmy-shuffle of the way. Hailing from the small town of Fagersta, the band dove into the mainstream with the album Veni Vidi Vicious, just in time for the so-called garage rock revival of the early 2000s. Soon the retro-rockers...
I saw The Hives (and Maroon 5) in Columbia South Carolina in October. I am still telling people about the concert. Sure, Maroon 5 was the headliner, but The Hives put on the best show I've ever seen. The energy of the whole concert was set by The Hives' performance, they're way to great to be an opening band
I saw The Hives in New York on this tour. They really are the best rock and roll band out today. Though as he said, there really isn't very much competition. It's funny when he was talking about how people were singing along with the new songs that weren't out yet. They're so catchy I was singing along with Tick Tick Boom, and trying to remember which album it was on. It's so catchy you know the chorus by the second time you hear it. That's how pop music should be. Extremely memorable.

I saw The Hives during one of the Carling Music Festival when I lived in the UK. They are an incredible live band.
Coachella is coming up here... April/May time frame... I plan on going...
Booptlegged all the Hives that Limewire had. Surprisingly fresh retro. I shall be ordering a complete Hives portfolio from Amazon soon. I only steal things until I decide I like it, then I make BMI less irritable. My Mustang CD is particularly fond of 'cause I wanna.
