No flu shot for me.

However I am short, not magical.

My grandmother is in her 80s. Up until about two years ago, she had never gotten a flu shot, and has never had the flu. My mother is in her fifties. She's never gotten a flu shot, and has also never had the flu.

I think I'll be okay.

Nuh-uh. I hear that's a myth. Someone get on the research and linkage. It can't be me. I'm stealing pie with my nephew.

Yeah, you don't need research to explain this. The flu vaccine contains only so many strains of the flu. So inevitably, some of the folks who get the shot will still get sick from a strain of the flu for which they have not been inoculated.

I had never gotten one before, and never gotten the flu (my brother did once), but it was free at work so I figure "why not?"

Why not: I immediately got sick for a week, and felt like shit for another week after it. I could barely make it to work the first week.
Last flu shot I'm ever getting.

A+! Go team!

Never had one. Don't plan to get one. I'm pretty healthy. My body can probably handle the flu.

Well unless you're under 2 or older than... well unless you're really old you'll be fine with the flu.

I wonder if you are, say, a magician or "time wizard" and are both under 2 and over 80 that if they cancel each other out.

Okay what? Time to go to sleep.

Exactly. It will really suck if I get the flu and I'll probably feel like shit but I'm not going to do. A flu shot is completely unnecessary. I don't know why perfectly healthy people outside of the target range for the shot are so freaked out about not having them.
