I love Legos!

Actually, everyone in my family does. I remember when I was younger being really pissed off that no one would buy me the big ships - they were too expensive.

But we always did have a big bucket of 'em. Sometimes my dad would build these huge constructs that involved the entire bucket - we'd get up to go have breakfast in the morning and there would be a giant house on the table. smile

Lego's were my favorite toy growing up, because you could make any other toy out of them. smile I feel bad, too, because I had SO MANY toys, so many legos. I still have enough of my old Legos to fill a kitchen garbage bag.

if lego is plural for lego, why is'nt a single lego, a legi?

anyway.. ive never been too big into legos. ive got all the imagination in the world but lack all the patience they require. on a more relavent note, my tattoo artist is all into legos, hes got the outer space lego guy scoping the moon with a metal detector on his forearm that won some prizes a few years back. and he built a legoesque house in a tree. i mean like a real house in a tree. hes got elec. + plumbing, and all that shit... its pretty fuckin nuts. but hes always been good at building things like ramps and what not, and i guess now i know it can be attributed to the legoz. and thats not too bad for a toy.

I loved lego as a kid but my parents hated them. They would always end up stepping on the ones we left laying around. I am really tempted to buy that pirate ship though ARRR!!!

The defining moment in my Lego-mania was when, at fifteen, I almost cried because I didn't get the gigantic fucking lego TIE fighter I saw for sale at the toy store. I mean, come on, it was discounted from 150 to 100 dollars!

This thing was huge. I wanted it. I looked around the store, though, through tear-clouded eyes, and said to myself, "Hey, self" (I call myself "self), I said, "Hey, self, go out and get a girlfriend. Legos are no substitute for chicks."

Man, to this day, I'm extremely glad I told that inner voice to shove it. Can you imagine how pathetic my life would be if I did actually go out and get a girlfriend, instead of staying at home building intricate worlds and societies out of my Legos? Jeez, that would have been lame.

LEGOS FOREVER!

Lego rocks. End of. Still have most of the bits for most of my sets, plus the boxes and instructions too. Tsk, I remember the days where there was only town lego and space lego (plus Duplo and Fabuland), and you could only get catalogues in foreign languages... smile

Many, many, many hour of my childhood were spent with Lego......I love 'em.

And Lego porn is fucking hilarious.

But the most impressive display of Lego is the video of the Camelot Song from Holy Grail

this guy makes his own lego sets, including packaging and instructions, of badass anime mecha, like assorted gundam and macross valkyries... his sets, although really expensive, really changed the way i thought about constructing lego models.

check it out: foundryDX.
