hooray for never taking out a loan.

How much does it cost to go to college in the states? The government won't pay for it right? By the end of my four year degree ill owe my lovely government $20,000. It could be so much worse ... right?

i never sat down and actually crunched the numbers, but @ a guesstimate, I paid somewhere between $80,000 & $120,000 for 5 years, and that's books, tuition, everything

Good for you. I'm assuming scholarships and grants paid your full tutition... or maybe you had mom and dad front the cash? Some of us aren't as fortunate. Even with academic scholarships and government pity money, I have to work two jobs to pay for my education and to live.

I'm really good about credit cards. I don't know if that's because I didn't play with toys like that. Regardless, loans are necessary right now.

scholarships and grants yes, and a wonderful little thing called the Colorado College Opportunity Fund love the folks fronted no cash @ all

but the flipside of graduating with no debt/never doing loans or credit cards is that i paid a price for my good fortune...karmic retribution...everything will equal out skull

Please tell me they can earn points for every dollar they spend. Instead of using the points to buy airline tickets, they get to use them on Joe Camel or Marlboro man dolls. Then they have to go shopping and buy stuff for their dolls. COOL!! eeek

6 years of university and no debt. But I do remember in my first year, there was a MasterCard table set up, and if you signed up for one right then and there, you got a free CD!!!

Pfft. Our government can't pay our tuitions AND fund wars in the middle east. Sheesh!

OK, in all seriousness, there are grants that help those who are at a lower income level. I don't know if the grants cover all of the tuition.

I couldn't help but notice in the new edition of The Game of Life, players aren't given play money any more... it's credit cards... WTF?!?! Do the kids get printed receipts to keep track of their assets? Or are 10 year olds expected to keep a running mental tally of their deposits and withdrawls... even I can't do that!

I was pissed when they took out the REVENGE space. What's Life without Revenge?
