woah. check it out. it's some japanese reissue of the prime himself. but look at all those points of articulation. amazing. and it's fully transformable i think. yay. i want it soo bad. this is probably the first and only optimus prime that is really cool as a truck and robot mode..

i need money.

edit for more pictures.

oh update. this is only the prototype. the final version will be diecast and painted.

This Masterpiece Edition of the Gen 1 series 1 Optimus will be released in full color, the photos are of the prototype. He's not only fully transformable with super articulation, but his chest opens to reveal a removable Matrix! Includes both his command rifle and the Megatron Walter P-38 rifle! Serious diecast construction and rubber tires! Rule the Autobots in style with this must-have collector's item!

660, I thought you were suppose to be gay or something? Maybe it's just because you edit gay porn all day that I made the assumption. Your overzealous excitement for a fucking sweet toy is sooooo not gay. I feel the same way I did back when my mon told me there was no such thing as fathers.

I'm seeing a full-color tattoo of Optimus and Megatron locked in eternal combat on a cliff-side, taking up your whole back. I'll chip in 20 dollars.

i've know about masterpiece prime since botcon...
it's actually only going to cost $75 when it gets released stateside in december, so don't worry about importing it. not only does it come with the matrix, but it fucking lights up, and he has a little panel on his wrist that flips up as a communicator with pictures of bumblebee or starscream that you can change (why starscream would be calling optimus prime, i don't know... maybe a crank-call?). it has real working suspension, a shitload of diecast parts, and is about a foot tall in robot mode... it makes me wish that there were 25th anniversary toys released every year... if only it came with a trailer.

there is also a line of transformers coming out next year called alternators (binartech in japan) which are real-world detailed cars, to scale, complete with seats, steering wheels, opening doors, trunks, hoods, etc. that are fully transformable into robot mode (certain engine parts detatch to become weapons). first up are smokescreen as a subaru wrx rally car and sideswipe reimagined as a convertible dodge viper.

yeah, i'm a big nerd.
