Queens of the Stone Age frontman and the most rockin' man in showbiz, Josh Homme, had an early morning call with me after a late night of partying to talk about life on the road, midgets, and his new naughty video for the single 3s and 7s that premiered on SuicideGirls,
Try to keep up with our stream of consciousness while streaming QOTSA's new album, Era Vulgaris (Interscope), on QOTSA.com.
Missy Suicide: You guys have been busy since the last time we talked.

When I grow up I want to be a bad ass talented purty man just like Josh Homme and Jesse. Maybe then SG's will talk to me...
I love Josh's quasi-stream-of-consciousness-hipster-sexy-smart-desert stoner act. QotSA and EoDM rule my mp3 player when Tool or PJ Harvey aren't playing.
I really liked what he had to say about kids getting the F outta their parent's homes and fucking taking a chance at some hard times. I've always thought he was a salt of the earth kinda dude, and I love the way he glosses that over with his wordage. I really want to meet this guy. He's my ONLY celebrity desire
I'm a little disappointed that Josh is so pleased with the current line up. Although Mike (their new bassist) is a buddy of mine and I'm really happy for him, I like his other band (Wires on Fire) a lot more than Queens.
Josh Homme has to be a creative genius. I love the fact that he has worked with a lot of different people. I definately think that makes for really creative and fun music.
This was a fun interview to read. The only downside is that it was not long enough!
Too bad heads like me didn't expect tickets to sell out before noon in a day! Hey QOTSA COME BACK TO MISSOULA!!!! More shots of ass! And for those bands who live in teh cliche big cities come to Missoula, we treat all rockers well.... one more jammy-jam band and im gonna kill a hippie.... Cheers!
JH: I just wanted to have a fake ID and the chance to use it.
MS: Not many opportunities to use your fake ID in the desert?
JH: No, you've got to make the opportunities; you can't wait for the world to card you. You need to card yourself.
i took my sister to her first show which was queens of the stone age, while there i broke my ribs, wrist, and suffered small head injury, but it was by far the best show i have ever seen. and i met john after the show and he was one of most chill people i have ever met plus it made my sister become in love with rock
