whoa. the dude had 259,347 myspace friends. even if 3/4 of them are ironic friends thats a big ass soapbox.

i cant imagine having an audience that large now, much less at the age of 19.
this world is weird.

HAHAHAHA I love Seth Green! He's the greatness! As for Chris Crocker, well Tay Zhonday has performed on late night TV due to his success on youtube. I think if this Chris Crocker thing breeds anything for sure it'll be more infiltration by the entertainment industry into youtube. That really saddens me too. They've already made quite a few "unknown stars" and "instant celebrities" through the wonder of youtube and that's really fucked up in my opinion. It only validates my reasons for not liking "reality TV" because that's all staged as well, not scripted but at least staged, I think the industry fabricating bullshit stars on youtube is valid argument on the reality TV issue.
Youtube is for the average Joe, not the entertainment industry. Get your next stars from there Hollywood, don't make them there. Many people instantly questioned whether or not Chris Crocker was "real" and if we have to do that with every person on Youtube then it's just no longer any fun now is it? I hope Chris gets a nice spot on E or the fashion channel or something. Maybe he can do a show and the opening theme will be Tay Zhonday singing Chocolate Rain and then Chris, Tay, Lonelygirl15, And William Sled (Ask A Gay Man) can go on grand adventures into fashion and online celebrity. I can already see a Robot Chicken episode along those lines in the mix after seeing Seth's video. I certainly hope so, that'd be fucking hilarious!

" I think he would be better suited to dramatic roles in which his traumatic experiences would be a help, not a hindrance"

What experiences did he claim were so traumatic?

He said he's a high school dropout who lives off his grandparents and he's trying to make this into a career. Oh and he's also in love with Courtney Love.
Sorry kid, you're much too ugly for Hollywood...and I mean ugly ugly not pretty ugly.

Also, I'm pretty sure he's related to Jeffery David Morris.

BWAHAHAHAHAHHA JDM reference!

Well, Tay seems to have actual talent. I'm in the camp that thinks Crocker is an act, and I'm not sure if the actor playing him could keep that level up on nation-wide TV. He might run the risk of breaking character, or whatever. This assumes the actor has no talent, and I'm not saying that, but I am saying those "spontaneous" videos are most likely heavily edited.

I can't even imagine why you were reading this story a month after it came out, much less why you saw fit to bump it.

Hoax. It takes nothing more than watching him continuously rub his eyes because he's "crying," yet there is never even a bit of the appearance of moisture. Fake crying that is very easy to spot.

However, his bit called "Healthy Food" is fucking HYSTERICAL.

"There's HOT DAWGS, but I-DON'-LIKE hot dawgs!!! WHAT AM I TO DO!!?!?"

Priceless, but certainly not genius. I watched that one a couple times and now I'm done with the guy. As far as a Seattle newspaper getting it wrong, well, remember when somebody from the East coast called Sub Pop records to get the inside scoop on "this grunge thing?" We are a large enough nation that we simply don't always get each other on a regional basis.
