Suicide is never a laughing matter. That said, I think the guy should have been more headstrong.

clever. an average suicide would never even make the news -- decapitating yourself with a hand-made guillotine, though? offbeat story, for sure!

he'll be remembered, as a weirdo, in death.

is no one else fascinated by this? come on people, geeeeez.

and i'm not laughing about suicide. i simply find that someone going through the trouble of constructing their own guillotine to chop their own head off is completely.... mindblowing.

I guess I'm fascinated too! That would have been such a horrible scene to come across. It would look less like a suicide and more like an execution. I wonder if in his mind he had sentenced himself to death.

that's a different way of looking at it. what's crazy is how long it would have taken him to construct the entire thing and once finished, he was still able to go through with it.

I think everyone should have the right to "opt out" of life and on their own terms.

Well they are certainly not doing too good this year.

Ohio State lost some key players too so it might be a battle of who is the biggest loser this year.

Ignore someone for this...Really?

How thin is your skin? Can people, like, see your internal organs and stuff?

Definitely not an impulsive act. Others have planned for a long time, but I don't know of a case with this much engineering and construction work.
