Sorry as well, just saw it today.

The only thing worse is the fact that "The hole" is all cleaned up and a huge tourist attraction, it might never be re-developed. frown

Wow. What a nasty, mean-spirited thing to say in a memorial thread.

Some of us here lost actual friends that day, and not posting in your precious thread doesn't say a thing about how we feel about that day, and it certainly doesn't make us "ingrates," and I really resent the fact that you'd claim such a thing. Get off the high horse, and realize that people mark this day differently. Some with actual mourning, some by commenting on a thread on a website.

While I did not lose a loved one on 9/11, I have to agree with PB here. Calling people ingrates for not commenting in your poorly titled memorial thread is really, really bad form.

not being from the US both the title and list just confused me. I offer my respect to those who died and sympathies to their families, but I do not appreciate being branded an ingrate for not understadning something so vague.

Even if you did see it and click on this on 9/11, the notion that one needs to post in this thread to truly show their appreciation is beyond ridiculous.

Your level of gratitude towards those who died on that day has approximately zero to do with whether or not you chose to post on a porn site thread, whether you saw it and understood or not.

yeah, sorry, not commenting in a poorly titled thread on a pornsite doesn't make me or anyone an ingrate. I looked it up and understand why the number has significance to firefighters, but it isn't exactly common knowledge.

Maybe you could have called it "Remembering the 343" or something. Anyway, this isn't the place for arguments, but there's no need to be sanctimonious or nasty. Especially in a thread that was meant to be respectful and remembering in the first place.

Well...here's the deal. I won't try to backpedal or make excuses because I said what I said...and I'll take it on the chin.

I was having a particularly rough few days...the anniversary didn't help...and it seemed like all I was seeing was celebirty gossip & puff pieces in the news. Not just here...but everywhere.

It made me mad...and I handled it badly.

Robert Beddia and Joseph Graffagnino, should be counted as 9/11's 344th and 345th firefighter fatalities. They died fighting a fire at the former Deutsche Bank office tower on Saturday August 18, 2007. (For those who do not know the building was heavily damaged on 9/11.)
