There is no word more powerful than the n word here. None. It is epic in its forbidden nature. It is like the name Cthulhu, say it in any context whatsoever, and you die socially. It's true. That's why it's called "The N Word". No one wants to invoke the "dreamer who waits"
I wouldn't apologize for America by saying it is too sensitive, though. The United States is the biggest craziest gene pool, with all kinds of social reactions, and negative racial histories. Also claiming to deserve sensitivity is a means to claim political resources here. It is a currency. I think it's natural for American liberalism to be hypersensitive to race. That's the choice people have made here, IMHO.
Perhaps it's just a different situation in this country because of it's scale and it's lack of history with neighboring countries (resulting in more introspection and internal grudges instead)? I don't know.
