oops... no, there is no book. I always say damn good film, better book since everyone always says the book is better when I bring up any movie I like. it's a saying and nothing more, unfortunately.

Well, I'll give you that the action sequences were enjoyable, but a couple of them made me laugh more than anything, like the gunfight over a puppy dog...

I really dug the kendo scene, though...

Mmmm. You can't beat a Beretta 92... Except with a Modified Beretta 92...

I wonder what that little rocker switch is for just above and in front of the trigger? That's normally the slide-release button...

Never much cared for the 92 myself. There was something about having all the spent casing bounch off my forehead that annoyed me.

after reading this thread i immediately went and rented Equillibrium. I was not disappointed. It kicked ass. I have trouble thinking of Christian Bale as anything other than Patrick Batemen, but the fight scenes alone made this movie. They did a really good job with the tiny budget they had.

Just rented this one myself. I'm in the 'It whooped major ass' party myself. Suspend disbelief, abandon hope for a really deep and meaningful script, and just love the action scenes and look of the movie.

It gets my vote for best nasty villian death, and the trapping-hands, Wing Chun/ gun fight at the end was fucking awesome.
