I haven't watched the news in two months. You know what the difference is between when I actually watched the news and now that I don't? NOTHING...

Tangent - I'm surprised they let you fly in the US after (during?) Black Summer.

Freaking awesome column...it definitely says something when I think that shows on Comedy Central are my favorite source for news.

I'm not gonna beat a dead horse like CNN and say something on how stupid our media is. I'm just wondering how much time they're gonna spend on Lohan when she goes to "jail".

Celeb Jail and the mass media of the US are of the same species... bullshit.

Thank you Mr. Ellis.

Lindsay Lohan is sad, but she is not news. I wish CNN would accept low ratings in exchange for content and credibility, but I guess I wouldn't be in America anymore if that happened...

There was a rather interesting article in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago about how the BBC news. just couldn't break into the cable market. Despite there is a call for it from consumers.

Apparently they are test marketing it in San Diego and Los Angeles since july.

Are all things news related really that bad in the US?

when I was over in the US the only news on TV was Paris Hilton going in and then out and then back out of jail. There seemed to be entire programmes dedicated to it. To be fair apparently GMTV also had it as their lead story above British soldiers dying in Iraq, but then GMTV isn't really a serious news TV show
