Stand up. Take a big sip of water into your mouth. Don't swallow. Flip your head upside down, like as if you were trying to touch your toes... then swallow the water with your head upside down. Repeat if needed.
it takes practice, but all you have to do is hold your breath, and try to burp over and over. eventually, you will burp out the hiccups. this simple technique is the reason i only get one hiccup and then they are gone.
