So let me get this straight...if someone says that homosexuality is ok but steals money from little old ladies by scaring them with stories of fire and brimstone, she is good people? WTF!

Christianity... did Tammy Faye get it? Yes, she got it. I have read some of these comments. A lot of people in here get it. By "getting it" I mean having the willingness "do it." Christianity, is really less about evangelism and more about walking in the footsteps of Christ. It is about actions which do, in fact, speak louder than words.
If more Christians could remember what Mahatma Gandhi said when he stated "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ...", perhaps then they too could easily "get it."
I am a devout Christian. That said, I would rather love you than preach to you. Tammy Faye did okay. She has left enough for us to remember what Christianity is supposed to be all about. I believe she is in heaven.

aaaaaand kudos.
does it balance out?
whatever she said about it, she wa involved. and she profited.
Good job giving proper respect to Tammy Faye - her open, loving nature and enthusiastic positivity were rare and beautiful in this world and transcended whatever religion she happened to subscribe to. She was one of a kind!
Christians are allowed to think whatever the fuck they want. I don't begrudge them that. However, I too am allowed to think whatever the fuck I want. And I think that most, particularly the big 3, religions were built off of superstitions which were then institutionalized in order to gain control over the idiotic masses. And that anyone who still believes in one of those religions is either brainwashed by fear or an idiot.
I'm tired of hearing religious types complain about discrimination. I have never met a non-religious person who tries to force their way of thinking onto another. However I have met many religious people who have tried to force their religious beliefs on those who had different ideas about religion. But then again, I'm from the South.
Being tolerant doesn't mean you have to be full of sunshine and rainbows to someone. It just means that you accept their personal choices. You can still disagree with them and voice your disagreement. I disagree with Christians and can call them idiotic or brainwashed all I want, just like they can disagree with me and say I'm going to hell. The difference is I ignore them and don't shit my pants every time someone challenges my viewpoint.

maybe i'm wrong... but she spent a lot of time atoning for that. that's something she's apologized for time and time again, and something she didn't have anywhere near as much involvement in as her ex husband.
maybe I just have a hardon for real shame, though.
