<snip snip> I see the latest is they're looking into if steroid use may have had something to do with him losing it . Anyone who has seen him has to know that he was pretty gassed to the gills . I just feel really bad for all involved.
'Roid rage was my first thought. I had a roommate years ago who I watched go from a mellow likable fellow to an angry woman-beating compulsive thief. TOTAL personality meltdown. In others I've seen them use for years with no overt SERIOUS untoward effects, and then suddenly nuke out.
Although it maes no difference to the Dead, I'd prefer to find out it was brought on by steroids.
I agree with polly_sugar, and I'm sure the SVU version will involve steroids.
Breaking CNN report says
the coroner believes he asphyxiated his son on friday and strangled Nancy on Saturday. The time line leaves him sitting with their bodies for 2 days before hanging himself.
I hope any investigational info becomes public. These wrestlers provide circus-level entertainment driven by a demand for specific appearances. They are all drug users, which the industry has always been well aware of if not indrectly encouraging. Eventually they die incredibly young due to the strains of the drugs on their heart muscles, usually via heart attack. 30 year olds do not die of heart attacks.
The reality of the phoniest sport is darkly depressing. Benoit was recent, but an arsenal of all the dudes who I thought were so awesome when I was little are dead or junked out fucks.
Ugh, all over the net I'm seeing people post some pretty stupid stuff about this. I don't even know a thing about the sport and don't belong to any communities that focus on it, but already I've seen people posting that his wife must have killed the kid or must have cheated on him, and people saying she probably "deserved" it. You just know this is going to bring out all kinds of stupidity, on all sides.

This horrified me more than anything. Except I heard the murders were in the opposite order.

Yeah , that's the order I heard too . First her , then their son . I suspect they'll find he was on any number of drugs beside the roids . And once again , I'm not saying they brought it on themselves or anything . I imagine that something made him snap & all the things he was taking just to keep going at his profession took over . I'm through with wrestling . If the guys dying in their 30's wasn't enough to make me stop caring , this surely is .

Wow, hero worship can be scary sometimes. They'll forgive or excuse almost anything.

And the murder/suicide thing just makes it extra creepy. I still feel ooky when I'm watching Phl Hartman footage.
I am thoroughly fascinated that the IP comes from Samford. Before I even clicked on it I remembered that it was always the WWE's home. I mean, this "enlightenment" sure is head scratching on it's own but from all places!
