Chris Benoit dead ...

I know some of you are wrestling fans . I used to watch a lot when I was younger , but don't really watch much at all now . I do keep up with the news though & just saw that officials are reporting that Chris Benoit & his wife & 7 year old child are all dead . No cause of death has been released yet . Not much info available at all yet . Google for the news stories if you're interested . I feel about like someone just kicked me in the stomach as I used to be a huge ECW fan & saw Chris wrestle a few times live in Philly . He was one of the few guys in the business who I still gave a shit about . Even sadder his family is gone too .

Yup, horrible news.

Being investigated as a homicide too. Damn, these wrestlers are dropping like flies.

And young too. Benoit was 40.

That's sad.

It's so sad and it gutted me when they showed Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero hugging after one of the matches in a clip on RAW tonight.

Considering he pulled out of a PPV this weekend for a "family emergency," and then he and his family end up dead today, murder-suicide just screams at you. Of course, you hope it's nothing like that.

I haven't watched wresting in years, but Chris Benoit was talented as hell, and it was always fun watching him work. R.I.P.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. - WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and son were found dead Monday and police said they were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.




Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, but said that couldn't be confirmed until evidence was examined by a crime lab.

The station said that investigators believe the 40-year-old Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, and 7-year-old son, Daniel, over the weekend, then himself on Monday. A neighbor called police, and the bodies were found in three rooms.

Lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, told The Associated Press the deaths were being investigated as homicide, and that the causes of death awaited autopsy results on Tuesday. Pope said the bodies were discovered about 2:30 p.m., but refused to release details.

The house is in a secluded neighborhood set back about 60 yards off a gravel road, surrounded by stacked stone wall and a double-iron gate. On Monday night, the house was dark except for a few outside lights. There was a police car in front, along with two uniformed officers.

That's so awful.

I tend to think that that's mostly crap - I sometimes read about serial killers, and the story is usually that they are rather distant, with a few exceptions. That being said, my pediatrician from when I was maybe 10-13 years old murdered the woman he was having an affair with because she was pregnant with his child. Super friendly guy, and we only changed because the wait invariably ran over, with so many people wanting to see him.

Man, I don't even know what to think. I'm confused and pretty angry.

What a cluster fuck . When I first posted about this , no one was saying what had happened to them yet . Now I know why . Not to excuse Chris in any way ( if he did do this as it looks ) , but those guys live hard lives . Busting up their bodies for mot much money ( in the big scheme of high paid athletes ) , on the road most days of the year , most of them get messed up in drugs or booze . I see the latest is they're looking into if steroid use may have had something to do with him losing it . Anyone who has seen him has to know that he was pretty gassed to the gills . I just feel really bad for all involved .

I didn't know at all that Woman was his wife and I certainly remember her well as a kid, a much longer time before he became famous. That makes me really sick.

3. What an unfortunate crock of shit that the WWE didn't know how to handle the death report so they ran a 3 hour tribute to him last night. And he murdered another wrestling figure who was a household name long before him!
