Hi Folks

I realise most of you are over your winter now but I want to share a few things I have learnt to keep you from getting sick.

One of the best ways is prevention and to do this requires building your immune system. Garlic is always high on the list for natural ways but the garlic breath isn't that much of a turn on.

So .. I suggest garlic and horsradish tablets but make sure you read the labels because some companies have products that are so useless you may as well just start kissing every sick person and not wait to catch it.
what you should look for is dosages that say -
Galic bulb 300mg-500mg
Horseradish 1000-1500mg
Marshmallow 50mg-100mg
Fenugreek 50mg- 100mg
Vitamin C 500mg-1000mg
Now seeing as you are from all over the world .. I can't really give you a brand name.. but if its got those ingredients then bonus. Not only is this good got getting rid of colds and flus but the mix is suited for dealing with sinuses and congestion.
For prevention say 1 tablet 3 times a day ... ... or if you suck at taking stuff that often (like mewink) then 2 -3 tablets a day. If you start feeling crook then up the anti big time .. I usually take 6-10 in one hit and that usually stops it from getting any further.

Another idea.. which I am sure is going to get a few ppl to attacksmile is when you start getting that taste in your mouth that you associate with being sick... get some fresh garlic... crush it in some warmed olive oil and rub on the bases of your feet .. put a pair of socks on, so it doesn't get on your sheets mostly (and to help create heat) and go to bed.
Now yes you will smell like garlic and your partner will not come anywhere near you .. but your sick .. they aren't going to come near you anyway lol
when you get up in the morning and have a shower you will not smell of garlic.
How this works is the nerve endings are in the base of your feet .. the oils will seep into your skin and travel into your blood stream and draw the toxins, associated with the cold and flu, back out through the soles of your feet. You will notice that you will run a pretty high fever through the night but by say about 4 am you will start to feel cold.

So I hope this is informative and if requested, would love to share stuff that I learn during my course with you all..
smile

i don't know about the rest of the stuff, but raw garlic's antibacterial and antiviral effects have been well documented. google it and choose for yourself which articles seem most credible, but here's one to begin with.

Yes, but believing you can cure a cold by rubbing it on your feet to "draw out toxins through your nerve endings" is just ridiculous.

I ate a whole clove of raw garlic to impress a boy once.

It may have been healthy, but it sure didn't feel like it. blackeyed

usually in other stuff, but still... and a lot of those were heads of wild garlic, which are the size of peas.

ooh, and the garlic cloves on the bottom of a jar of home-made pickles are heaven. but i could just be odd.

i'm totally going to just pickle garlic cloves this year and skip the cucumber middle-man ARRR!!!
