Err, isn't shooting dolphins, just like any other hunting or fishing?

So they are mamals right, that [despite the homophobia] may liken them to envious fishermen, but hey, falling for them like lovers is one heck, of a fish called wonder.
Suppose this is just another trophy hunter, another one or two that got away.

Is there is law around SD that protects dolphins, or not? ARRR!!!

Who knows? the FBI? would you be caught wearing that badge?
Another mindfuck bok

No, no, no. See, cow tipping, unlike dolphin murder, is actually funny. Because cows don't sleep standing up, you see. Its a joke we farmer's kids like to play on the rest of you people, and it's the only one we've got.

this shit amazes me. Let's go kill innocent critters to get our rocks off. WHOO! Yeah! cause killing humans is just too much sport for us... Stick to something that can defend itself, please. And just cause dolphins can't say no doesn't make consensual.

I can understand that if it is a fisherman, why he would have the urge to solve his problem, though I don't agree with killing dolphins at all.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that "sticking to something that can defend itself", insinuating other people, may just hint you as crazy. I mean, you're saying "Don't kill dolphins, kill people because they have a chance at defense."

Sheesh.

You guys are putting way too much thought into this.

It probably went something like this: (This is all in Larry the cable guy dialect)

Hank: Hey Earl! Get yer gun, we is gonna go shoot us some of them squeaky fish.

Earl: Well Hank ya mean dolphins?

Hank: Dolphin, fish, what's the difference Earl? Get me a PBR.

Earl: Well Hank, dolphin's aren't technically fish, they have lungs and breath air just like you and I, they are actually quite intelligent creatures that have been known to actually save men from death at sea.

Hank: <blink, blink> SHUT UP EARL! YER RUININ' IT! GIT ME MY DAMN PABST! GIT YER GUN! AND LET'S GO "GIT HER DOOOONE"

And no offense Flawedhero, offhand i can think of quite a few people that "deserved killin" more than a dolphin.

Oh no, I agree. There are people who may or may not deserve it but it seems odd to me that someone would suggest killing people in place of an animal.

PS-That dialogue you wrote made me laugh. Lots of people here in GA that I can see saying something like that.

Holy crap! I knew the crime was bad out here but I didn't know the dolphins were in on it to. These homosexual, drug smuggling dolphins will stop at nothing until they have their revenge for their sunken brethren. When did the dolphins learn how to shoot guns? I suspect the same time they learned how to smuggle drugs. ARRR!!!

Whoa, settle down. As terrible a thing as this is, it's a pretty big leap to imagine that someone is getting his proverbial rocks off killing these dolphins. It's more likely a fisherman who is having his business pretty severely damaged by dolphins eating fish off his lines. It's a pretty big problem for fishermen or charter boat captains that are just getting by.

You'd be surprised how sick some people are.

I don't like this article either - killing dolphins is a a clear cut animal cruelty case. Dolphins are gentle, sociable creatures, and even have many genetic similarities to humans. Even if they are eating fisherman's catches, that's the natural life cycle; perhaps we shouldn't be robbing the oceans of its fish. Taking this kind of issue lightly is not going to make it stop. That's like hicks who think its funny to go cow tipping, thus resulting in the painful death of cows and the loss of a huge asset for farmers. Whoever is killing these poor beasts deserves to be locked up.

Animal. Cruelty. Is. Not. Funny.

End of story.

Killing cows with cow tipping? WTF, did you get that info from the national enquirer?
