Not as silly as you might think. I've live all my life in North Carolina but no one I've met has ever thought I had a Southern accent.

Check it out.

I have a Midland accent.

I resent that there is no Southern California option.

I've hear Midwest (or Midland) is the most properly spoken English in the country. Be proud my fellow Midlanders.

Northern

You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

What the deuce?! Chicago?! as in "...'Da Bearsss"?!

I got Midland.

YAWN

I turned on my Noo Yawkah accent and tried again and got north central. ??

Oddly enough, people I haven't met can tell I'm from NY, even though my accent is not strong at all.

Edit: Shittin' crap I can't even force a northeastern accent out of this quiz.

That's because they didn't have a "Boston Yard" question...

If I were American, apparently I'd have a northern accent.

On a completely unrelated note, today someone asked me something about "three windows in a row" and it took me a long time to figure out that he meant "winters".

Damn me! "Three winners in a row" I'd have understood right away.

Midland, with the majority.

Influenced by the stateside newscasters and tv programming, I suppose. Just like most everyone else in the US.
