Secret Photoshop Agent and resident Fashion Icon Zoetica often has the staff at SGHQ asking, "What's Zo Wearing?" Her unique and eccentric style is a rallying call to those who suffer from mainstream malaise. Each week, she tells us how she's combined ordinary items to create her extraordinary look. Undaunted by unusual combinations, "What's Zo Wearing" is SG's answer to middle-of-the-road makeover shows.
It's the 30th edition of WZW, and I present you one of my recent favorite outfits -- huge shoes, five layers and a belated haircut compose this number. A fine getup for traipsing along the most radioactive, glowing hallways.
I don't have a Closeting report for you --- I've been dreadfully busy and haven't had time to properly face the issue. But I will!
I got some great advice from you all last week and I plan to milk it dry. Dry like a port town whore's teat, and I have you to thank!
On to the game-plan.
OnyxNox had a strategy that appealed to me most, and is one I will surely use. It is, as follows:
- Lay everything out so I can see it.
- Pick out all the clothes I know make me feel awkward, or I just don't like anymore and get rid of those.
- Pick out clothes that don't fit me, but I kept around for some reason. I get rid of those.
- Pick out the clothes I haven't worn in over a year, and unless it's something I just completely forgot about and love, I get rid of it. I only let sentimentality apply to like, one article of clothing.
- Make sure I try some of the stuff on again, just in case the way it fits changes or something and I end up liking it, or disliking it.
Also, redfirefairy had a good piece of advice. She gets rid of items she can't add to definite keeper pieces to make at several outfits from. So, when I lay everything out, I'll build potential outfits. I think this will be extremely helpful, as it will rule out the common excuse of "I might have something this goes with, somewhere." Unless it is, in fact amazing, and I'm willing to shop within a week to get items that will match it -- it's out.
I will have to allow myself a suitcase of costume things, because of my various modeling and performance pursuits. This part will be interesting.
It's final! I'll not allow myself to go on about anything else until this is done, done, DONE. A full report to follow.

Oh the knickers, stockings, and shoes. In a world where I don't feel quite so complete without buying into the experience: When can I get my Zoe bobble-head?
Those culottes are adorable. Now I'm bummed, because the last time I was in Forever21 it seemed like they make clothes for itty-bitty girls and I could barely fit into their extra-larges! I shall have to find my short-pants elsewhere.
